In the Russian border region of the Belgorod region, a lorry operator was fatally wounded by a Ukrainian strike, as stated by local officials.

Electricity Recovery Operations in the Capital

Efforts proceeded on Saturday to restore power in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Electricity had been restored to over 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the largest power firm announced the primary work to repair the grid was concluded though some outages remained.

Anti-Aircraft Actions and UAV Downings

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems neutralized fifty-four of 78 total enemy drones sent against Ukraine in the dark hours, the aerial defense command reported on Saturday.

The Russian military authorities stated it intercepted 42 enemy Ukrainian drones over Russian territory.

Cuban Government Refutes Allegations of Providing Soldiers to the War

The Cuban government on the weekend rejected US claims it has provided military personnel to engage in the Ukraine war, while declaring the government "are without accurate details about citizens of Cuba" participating "on their own" or "in the military forces of both sides".

The ministry in the capital announced 26 nationals had been convicted to jail sentences from five to 14 years for mercenary involvement since the autumn of 2023 when information emerged of Cuban nationals being dispatched to the front in Ukraine.

Surrender Initiative Initiative Discloses Data on Cuban Enlistment

The program, a Ukrainian government program that promotes adversaries to lay down arms, said in spring: "We reliably know the names and personal details of 1,028 individuals who enlisted with the Russian military in the past two years."
