The Red Bull team has revealed a new line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season, elevating Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his first Formula 1 seat.

Lindblad, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, is set to become the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls.

These changes sees Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat following a five-year stint.

A Star in the Making

The youngster was marked out as a prodigy by Red Bull since he was 12 years old.

Discussing the team's junior academy, a key advisor previously said that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", commending his "pure speed".

The team has been working since last year to ready Lindblad for his potential F1 debut in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City.

Lindblad stated it was a "huge honour", commenting: "Next season represents a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to work closely with the team and meet the challenge. I am incredibly excited to get started."

Lindblad has taken a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the championship heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi.

A Major Opportunity for Hadjar

The Frenchman's debut season started on a low note when he spun out on the formation lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. But, from that point, he has been one of the stand-out newcomers of the year.

He included an excellent top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies 10th in the drivers' standings.

The team principal commented: "Hadjar has displayed great maturity and proved to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can thrive next to Max."

Hadjar described it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "prepared".

Tsunoda's Exit

To partner Lindblad at the junior team, Red Bull have preferred Lawson instead of Tsunoda.

The New Zealander began the season with the main team but was moved back after just two races. He has found his form at the junior outfit with some strong performances, persuading Red Bull he deserves another season.

The Japanese driver, in contrast, has been ejected after a disappointing season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has scored a small fraction of the team's constructors' championship.

The driver market moves mean that there is also no spot on the Red Bull programme for Irish driver Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 for 2026.
